The Silk Road Olympiad is an international academic initiative bringing together talented students from across the world to engage in rigorous inquiry, interdisciplinary exploration, and global collaboration. Organized under the leadership of the Caucasus & Central Asia Association of IB World Schools, the Olympiad creates a new intellectual pathway inspired by the historic exchange of knowledge along the Silk Road.
The Caucasus & Central Asia Association of IB World Schools (CCAAIBWS) is a regional professional network dedicated to advancing excellence in international education.

The CCAAIBWS International Project Olympiad is not only about awards — it is a learning journey.
Students present their ideas and research projects to an international audience, gaining valuable experience in explaining complex ideas with clarity and confidence.
Participants learn from fellow students, exchange ideas, and discover new perspectives while observing innovative projects from different schools and countries.
By presenting their work in front of judges and peers, students strengthen their communication skills and develop confidence in public speaking.
Through investigation, experimentation, and analysis, students enhance their research abilities and develop strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
The Olympiad creates opportunities for students to connect and collaborate with peers from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.
Top projects receive the opportunity to advance to international stages, including the Global Round in Italy or the VILIPO Project Olympiad.
Three main competitions.
Students design interdisciplinary research projects addressing real-world challenges through scientific thinking, innovation, and creative problem-solving.
Students solve challenging mathematical problems that strengthen logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and advanced problem-solving skills.
Students represent countries in simulated UN debates, developing diplomacy, leadership, and global problem-solving skills.
